Choices recorded. Threads remembered.

Player Decision Log
& Callback

An old rescue fills the storybook as a familiar traveller returns to the dock. Record the party’s choice, then prepare a deliberate moment that brings it back.

Make the past available

Keep the choice where you can find it.

A running record gives your preparation a concrete starting point.

Record the actual decision

Write what the party did in their own campaign. Attach the session and an optional tag so the original thread stays visible.

Choose what returns

Draw from any logged choice or pick one deliberately. A promise, rescue, betrayal or public act can become the starting point for a new scene.

Read a candidate connection

Review who remembers, the context and the suggested form. The selected entry is quoted; the rest is drawn from descriptive prompts.

Keep the table in control

Choose whether the candidate fits and adapt it in your own notes. Players decide what to do when the old choice returns.

Revisit the original choice

Start with what actually happened.

Companions review an illustrated riverside rescue beside ferry miniatures. The artwork suggests remembering an earlier scene; it is not an application screen.

Log the decision first. Later, select that entry and review a callback before placing it in your next conversation or encounter.

From choice to callback

Record. Select. Review. Keep.

A deliberate workflow for an ongoing campaign.

01 · Log the choice

Set a session, write the decision and add an optional tag. Press Log decision to add it to the newest-first record.

02 · Pick a thread and style

Open Callback. Search for a specific entry or use Any decision, then choose Full or Classic and a valid whole-number seed.

03 · Judge the connection

Generate or Reroll for another angle. Read the source choice and all suggested details; fit them to established people and circumstances yourself.

04 · Keep the reviewed output

Copy plain text into your notes or explicitly Save a local callback snapshot. Use Saved to Open or Delete one later.

The continuity toolkit

Small steps that preserve a useful thread.

Know what is entered, generated and saved.

Keep the choice with its session

Enter what the party decided, a session number and an optional tag. Newest choices appear first; tags are displayed labels rather than callback rules or filters.

Continue a local running log

Changes auto-save after a short delay to this machine. Keep your own backup practices; there is no cloud sync or automatic reconciliation between open windows.

Pick the thread to revisit

Choose one logged decision with the searchable picker, or draw from any decision. At least one entry is needed before generating a callback.

Prepare a Full callback

Read who remembers, the form it takes, why now, a sign, the choice it forces and a fair-resolution suggestion. Judge how each drawn detail fits your campaign.

Choose the Classic style

Use the separate earlier vocabulary with a returning observer, situation and form typed as Reward, Complication or Recognition. It does not add the Full style’s extra fields.

Return to the same draw

Use the same complete ordered log, selected source, style and seed. A seed alone is insufficient; changing the log or selection can change the callback.

Copy a reviewed callback

Copy the displayed callback as plain text into your own notes. Review any private information yourself; the copied text does not include seed or style.

Save a local callback snapshot

Explicitly Save a callback, Open it from Saved or Delete that snapshot. Open restores the displayed callback, not the log or generation controls.

Two distinct styles

Choose the kind of callback you need.

Full is the default. Classic keeps its own typed vocabulary.

Full: a sign before the return

Read who remembers and the form, then the pressure that makes it timely. The sign offers a way to telegraph the connection before introducing it.

Full: a new choice

Use the suggested decision and fair-resolution guidance as preparation. These are descriptive prompts; your judgement determines a fair scene.

Classic: reward or complication

The earlier vocabulary can suggest unexpected help, a returning obligation or a consequence. Its form is labelled Reward or Complication when drawn.

Classic: recognition

A returning face, spreading story or new opportunity can acknowledge the old choice. Classic does not add the Full style’s sign, pressure, choice or resolution fields.

A boatman welcomes adventurers back to the riverside ferry. This illustration shows one possible return; it is not generated image output or a promised campaign result.

Bring the reviewed callback into play when it belongs. You decide who recognises the party, what the connection means and how much the characters can learn.

Find another angle

Keep the original choice. Review the new draw.

Selection, style and log state matter as well as the seed.

Generate again or change the seed

Generate uses the controls as they stand. New changes the seed control only; Reroll changes it and immediately generates another candidate.

Preserve the replay context

Use the same complete ordered log, selected source, style and seed. A seed alone is insufficient to reproduce the draw.

Understand the elapsed sessions

Sessions ago compares the source entry with the highest session in the log. Changing the Session input alone does not advance that measure.

Review removed threads

A removed selected source falls back to a draw from remaining entries. Existing displayed or saved callbacks can still refer to a decision you have removed.

A prompt you can judge

You direct the consequence.

Keep preparation separate from automatic campaign operation.

Drawn descriptors need review

Observers and consequences are not inferred from the decision’s meaning or its tag. Check every suggested detail against your established campaign.

One running log on this machine

There are no separate campaign workspaces here. Keep your own organisation and backup practices rather than relying on automatic campaign separation.

Manual introduction and resolution

The product does not listen to sessions, discover witnesses, schedule reminders or advance ignored callbacks. You introduce and resolve the scene.

Share only what belongs

There is no audience switch or automatic redaction. Review any private information before copying it into notes for another person.

Separate related-product access

Combat PRO, Battlemaps and image products retain their own access requirements. Linked tools are separate from this generator selection.

VISINVOKE means value. Quality. Ownership. Rewards.

Local log changes

Changes auto-save after a short delay. Saving is best effort, without a cloud library, automatic backup or reconciliation between open windows.

Explicit local snapshots

Save the callback you want to keep. Each Save creates another snapshot; these remain separate from the running decision log.

Open the output you saved

Saved Open restores the displayed callback, not the log or generation controls. Keep the current controls separate from an older opened result.

Reviewed plain-text Copy

Copy the selected callback into your own notes. Copied text does not include seed or style; preserve replay details separately.

Remove and Clear all change the log without confirmation or undo. Clearing the log does not delete saved callbacks.

Quick answers

Logged choices, styles and local snapshots.

Understand the current workflow before opening the tool.

What can I record in the log?

Enter a decision, its session number and an optional tag. Entries appear newest first. The product keeps one running log on this machine; separate campaign workspaces, player fields, due dates and importance controls are not available here. Remove deletes one entry and Clear all empties the log without confirmation or undo. Clearing the log does not delete saved callbacks.

How do Full and Classic callbacks differ?

Full is the default: who remembers, the form, why now, a sign, a new choice and a fair-resolution suggestion. Classic uses its own earlier vocabulary and labels the form Reward, Complication or Recognition, with a separate resurfacing situation. These are drawn preparation prompts, not semantic analysis of the party’s actions. You decide whether the people, context and outcome fit. The product does not automatically apply rewards, punishments or world changes.

Can I reproduce a callback from its seed?

A seed alone is insufficient. Keep the same complete ordered log, selected source, style and valid whole-number seed to reproduce the draw. New changes the seed control; Reroll generates with a new seed. If a selected entry has been removed, generation falls back to a draw from the remaining log. Sessions ago is measured against the highest session in the log, not the current Session input. Saved Open restores the callback without restoring these controls.

Where do the log and saved callbacks live?

The log and explicit callback snapshots are machine-local application data. Log changes auto-save after a short delay, but saving is best effort and failures do not provide a recovery guarantee. There is no cloud sync, account library, automatic backup or reconciliation between open windows. A saved callback remains separate from the running log, and each Save creates another snapshot. Open restores its output only; Delete removes that snapshot without undo.

What does Copy include, and can I export the log?

Copy provides plain text with the past action, session and elapsed-session note, observer, resurfacing context, form and any Full-style fields. It does not include seed, style, tag or logging time, and it does not redact private information. Keep replay details separately or save the callback locally. The current product has no whole-log JSON export, import, download, print or audience-switch control; use your own notes for a reviewed copy.

Does this run callbacks or update other products automatically?

No. You manually log the choice, generate a candidate and decide when to bring it into play. The product does not listen to sessions, discover witnesses, schedule reminders, advance consequences or transfer data automatically to timelines, summaries or Combat PRO.
